Clomipramine is an antidepressant of the Tricyclic classification, which also has strong anti-obsessional effects, and as such is used most often in cases of depression with OCD. It has effects on the reuptake of both serotonin and noradrenaline, although it is not known how these effects are mediated.
Clomipramine has many contraindications and medication reactions, and as such must be approached with caution.
