While I haven’t a clue which is most suitable, have you considered installing one of the Flickr plugins for Wordpress so you could show thumbnails of recent photos in the sidebar?
I found one which looks pretty small and tidy.

Do I want my photos on my site? Will it clutter things up? And are my photos really worth seeing anyway?
